A note about the next two sim periods

To accommodate the All-Star break, Thursday and Saturday will have irregular sim periods. Thursday’s sim will run through the announcement of the All-Star game. Saturday’s sim will include the All-Star game and the following week of games, so each one will be roughly 10 days. Keep this in mind when making changes to your roster.

After Thursday’s sim, I’ll do a mid-season review, including an evaluation of the two All-Star teams. After Saturday’s sim, I’ll include a recap of the All-Star game.

Official changes for season 4 of the league

Given the polling on Facebook, the following changes will be implemented for next season:

— Expansion of the feeder leagues to two full college leagues and four full high school leagues.

— The amateur draft will be moved to the offseason (specifically, our next draft will be the 2018 offseason) and the rookie league will run year round.

— 25 historical players will be added, per year, to the amateur draft pool. The present owners will each select one player to add to the draft pool (note that this choice does not necessarily guarantee you will receive the player added to the pool.)

Thanks for voting, everyone! We’ll have more details on historical players a bit later on when we’ve finished with testing.
